Our Warranty and the rebuilding process

Warranty: We offer a 24month 12,000 mile warranty on our transmissions.

                               Other Warrantees are available

We can offer this because we only supply quality pre-tested transmissions.

Rebuilt to high standards

Rebuilding process   The rebuilding process is divided into four components.

1. First the transmission is completely disassembled, the valve body is removed and sent to the valve body rebuilder.  The internal parts are inspected.  Warn parts are replaced.

2. The valve body is completely disassembled and inspected.
  • The solenoids are removed and tested separately
    • The bore holes are checked for tolerance and sleeved if necessary.
    • Each Solenoid is de-magnetized
    • Cleaned and purged
    • All available Sonnax updates are installed.
  • The Electrical Components are tested
    • Each Solenoid is de-magnetized
    • The proper voltage is applied and current is measured to determine Resistance,  If the resistance is not according to specifications the solenoid is replaced
    • EPC Solenoids are tested for smooth operation over varying current values
  • Once the coils have been tested they are placed in the valve body and the solenoids are tested
    • All testing is done with preheated Transmission fluid to duplicate a real time environment.
    • A leak test is performed on each on/off solenoid.
    •
    • The solenoid de-energized and tested for Spec line pressure
    • Solenoid is energize and tested for smooth reduction in line pressure
    • The goal is to insure there is a smooth control of the line pressure over the complete operating cycle of the solenoid.
    •  A leak test is performed on each on/off solenoid.
    •
  • A Static Hydraulic pressure test is performed, to insure the solenoids operate with in spec.
  • Worn and weak springs are removed and replaced.

3.  The transmission body reassembled valve body is installed.

4.
The final step is to mount the completed transmission on a "Dyno Tester"
This will test the transmission under operating conditions.
It is similar to putting the transmission in a vehicle and driving it.
This machine will test the unit for both operation under load and internal wiring integrity.
All shift patterns and shift pressures are checked at operating pressures.
Fluid leaks are eliminated.
Noise and shift test are done at operating speeds to ensure proper operation.
